| Celebrating Our Centennial |
|
| You’re cordially invited: Celebrate the Medical Center’s Centennial with a whirlwind schedule of festive occasions, nostalgic events, and fun outings throughout 2005. “Our goal is to remind everyone about Alta Bates Summit’s proud heritage and involve them by emphasizing all the ways the Medical Center touches their lives,” says Tom Drese, chair of the Medical Center’s Board of Trustees. “We want to honor the present and the past, recognize our medical breakthroughs, and pay homage to our record as a caring, benevolent organization.” Highlights of what’s in store include:
- Oakland A’s community event
- Walking tours of Pill Hill
- Hospital Week picnic
- Nurse Week celebration
- Physicians’ dinners
- Volunteer recognition lunch
- Rededication Ceremony of Medical Center
- Culminating event: a gala dinner/dance at downtown Oakland’s
beautiful Rotunda Building
