The 14 th annual Alta Bates Summit Foundation Celebrity Classic was an all-around success.
Results of the golf tournament, held on September 12 at Diablo Country Club, are:

Hole-in-One Winner! Congratulations to Tom Knight of Toyon Associates who won $10,000 for his hole-in-one on Hole #3.Tom is the first hole-in-one winner in the history of the tournament!
Headliners for this year’s Tennis Classic at the Berkeley Tennis Club on Saturday, September 24 were Todd Martin and MaliVai Washington. Twenty-five sports, entertainment and media celebrities played mixed doubles throughout the day with sponsored players. The Classic finale was a gala at the Claremont Resort on Saturday evening.

Proceeds from the 2005 Classic will benefit Thunder Road’s Culinary Arts Program. Over $250,000 was raised for Thunder Road - an affiliate of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center - is a model program, and is the only residential drug and alcohol program in California specifically for teens.
The Thunder Road Culinary Arts Program was developed in order to:
- Provide youth with a variety of vocational opportunities including developing marketable skills in the food services industry in order to build self-sufficient and honorable lifestyles;
- Provide youth with the opportunities to save funds to support themselves;
- Provide Thunder Road discretionary revenue to support continued program growth.
